Design Build Renovation and Addition to Fire Station #2, NAS Meridian, MS

Client: US Navy 

This Design Build Project required Optimum to construct a new 1,600 square foot addition to fire station #2 at NAS Meridian. Besides the new berthing facility, additional renovations were made such as mechanical, electrical, fire suppression, flooring, sheetrock and interior finishes. One challenge of the project was the facility had to remain operational during construction. This required proper coordination with Optimum and the Navy.

Install Solar Photovaltaic System ‐ MCRC Texarkana, TX

Optimum constructed a PV system for a 130KW (STC) roof mounted solar photovoltaic system. The project utilized state of the art solar AC mico‐inverters with 473 solar modules mounted to the roof of the Marine Corp Reserve Center located in Texarkana, TX

Surface Drainage Improvements NSA Millington, TN

Client: US Navy

This project required Optimum to make surface drainage improvements at three separate locations on base. The improvements included milling and paving about 8,500 yards of parking area. Grading was performed in areas to improve drainage along with underground piping, new curbs, sidewalks and sodding.

Design Build Replace HVAC System in Reading in Building 528 CDC, NAS‐JRB, New Orleans, LA

Client: US Navy

This design build project requires Optimum to replace the existing HVAC system at the child development centerat NAS‐JRB New Orleans. The new system shall be a heat pump in a split system to match the existing system configuration. Also new mechanical and electrical are required.

The project required Optimum Construction to replace a drainage system at the Beaumont Reserve Fleet, TX. The project
required a new oil water separator, man holes, inlet boxes, sewer piping and down spout drains.

Construct Exterior Lights for Three Parking Lots – Buildings B5141, B5155, and B5167, Barksdale AFB, LA

The contract required construction of eight concrete footing for 12’ to 15’ high aluminum light poles, provide and install eight (8)new 208 Volt, 400 W. Metal Halide antique style light fixtures on eight new aluminum poles for rear parking lot of Building B5345.

Renovations to Calibrations Lab, Bldg. 33 at NAS-JRB New Orleans, LA

Client: US Navy 

The project required Optimum Construction to renovate building 33 located at NAS-JRB New Orleans. The occupants and furniture where moved out of the facility to allow demo of ceiling and interior of building. The building’s roof was spray foam insulated with renovations to the HVAC systems to increase building efficiency. Also electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, flooring and other interior finishes.

Repair Tower RAPCON Mechanical System Columbus AFB, MS

This project required Optimum Construction to repair a failing mechanical system at Bldg. 1805 RAPCON and Bldg. 1806 Control Tower located at Columbus AFB, MS. The design build project required the replacement of three 40 ton chillers and two boilers to support both facilities and provide redundancy to the system.

This project required Optimum Construction to provide a new filly adhered reinforced polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane roofing system to MCRC Texarkana, TX. The roof upgrade was performed for a solar rack system which was installed by Optimum Construction on a separate contract.

This renovation project is located at two different project sites. The physical therapy renovation required demo and abatement to the lower wing of the Naval Hospital. This phase of work required HVAC, electrical, painting, flooring, cabinetry and blinds. The room 1271 renovation took at Parris Island. The work required electrical, sheetrock, painting, and plumb to renovate an X-Ray room facility.
